Yep……….it’s been a while since I’ve posted here. Life was get’n crazy!!!ARRGG!!! I just want to take the time to let the people, on the DebtCC/Credit Forums, know that I appriciate all of the help and advice you have given me, since I’ve been a memeber. It was such a surprise that I was voted to the Hall of Fame, at DebtCC. Thank you, again!!

Just a thought, I guess. ‘We’ try SOO hard to ‘keep up with the Jones’, that ‘we’ don’t ACTUALLY see that ‘we’ are putting ourselves in deeper and deeper debt. ‘We’ buy huge (expensive) houses and land ( just to prove that “we can”). ‘We’ run up ‘our’ credit cards ( just because we have them). Well……… you ‘get the picture’. Some of us may lose our jobs, for various reasons. Before ‘we’ know it, we are struggling to pay just the ‘neccessary’ bills each month. ‘Our’ credit goes hairwire and we try to ‘fix’ it. Seems like such a ‘cycle’. Despite all of that, each individual does what ‘works for them’ to consolidate, ’settle’,and ‘repair’ our credit. ‘We’ may spend a lifetime doing this!! But…….at least ‘we’ are trying.

I’ve worked for the same place, for 7 years. I LOVED what I did.taking care of the Elderly and (some) Handicapped. I covered ADDITIONAL shifts and ‘carried’ myself very professionally. However……….with the disrespect, from the Supervisior, in charge, this ‘position’ could no longer be held by me. NO Supervisior should harrass you constantly, go to your residence and “DEMAND” anything, or hang up on you on the telephone (several times, I may add.) To GET respect, you need to give it, as well.

As most of you know, I have a ( soon-to-be) 15 year old son. He’s going through some ‘tough’ struggles, right now. Peer pressure, school, etc. I do try to ask what I can help him with. It’s REALLY difficult when he responds with ” I don’t know.” As we try and come up with solutions, i tell him I was , “15 once, too!” (Believe it or not!!LOL) Grades have dropped at school, for him. I know SOMETHING is on his mind, I just can’t come up with a ’solution’ that would help him. Can anyone, possibly, give me some advice, on how to handle this? I love my son, like any parent does.

As most of you know, there have been SEVERAL fires in San Diego, California. These fires have been burning out of control!! My family lives SMACK, in the middle, of San Diego. Two days ago my parents, sister and her husband and kids, were evacuated from their homes! OMG!! Several homes, and properties, are distroyed!! I talk to my parents today…….they said their home was STILL there, WITHOUT any damage!! So was my sisters! Boy…what a worry off my mind. God has to be looking after them!! I really feel sorry, for those, who have lost everything! Please say a prayer for those who have lost everything they have!!

I deal with several people a day. My ‘family’ at work, my neighbors, my son, etc. It makes me sad to hear individuals say they ” have no one to count on. No one to rely on”. In my opionion, some of the most ‘popular’ people, that I know, seem to be the most miserable. They talk about how their ” families don’t get along”, or, they try to ‘buy’ someones friendship. I was having a conversasion, with a elderly woman. Her husband had left her a ” good amount of money”, when he passed away ( several years ago). She was telling me she really din’t want to live the way she was brought up…” watching every penny”, etc. She wanted to marry a ‘well ta-do’ gentleman. She said she never loved him, just wanted the ‘label’, of being ‘in the money’. She doesn’t get along with her family and hasn’t seen them in years ( bothers, sisters, etc.) She seems very ‘alone’, uncaring. I may not be ‘in the money’, but, I feel like I’m very ‘rich’ in other ways. I have a very close-knit family, a wonderful son, and a life I am happy with. Not everyone can make a statement like that!!

Hi, ya’ll!!! My name is ‘Marty’. I want to tell you, alittle bit, about me. I am 43 years old, a single mom, I work full time AND service in our wonderful military!! Army Reserves..to be exact!!
